Windows VPS/VDS Licensing

As a Microsoft approved SPLA license distributor, we are able to provide fully licensed version of both Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 server operating systems on our VPS servers and Windows 2008 on our dedicated boxes.

When selecting the appropiate Windows server operating system we will carry out the intial installation and configuration as well as activate your license on your server. Note however that you do not own this license, it is only licensed to you for as long as the server is leased from us.

Costs & Recommended Hardware

Windows server 2003 and 2008 are more resource intensive than Linux operating system and for that reason we do not recommend Windows installations on our Basic VPS server range. You should use either the Standard or Dedicated servers instead. Windows will (in theory) install on just 128MB of RAM but the performance will be quite poor.
